The regional states are currently running a host of
regional pilot projects
with a view to elaborating viable solutions by working with a number of
different interest groups, and above all to gain insight into key water
management issues and develop the requisite measures. Following is an
overview of the projects of this type that are being realized in the
Weser river basin district by the regional states of Bremen, Hesse,
Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Thuringia.
A
river basin district-wide model project
analyses
the nutrient input problem throughout the district and will elaborate
action scenarios aimed at remedying this situation.
