Realization and coordination of water management activities throughout the Weser river basin with a main focus on anti-pollution measures,

Coordinate of large scale water management programs and measures, as well as decisions relating to water legislation, with a view to keeping the Weser clean and the flood protection,

Assessment of the water quality of the Weser and its headwaters, evaluation and publication of the data.

Tasks of the Headoffice of the RBC Weser (Geschäftsstelle der FGG Weser)

Elaboration and coordination of the trans-regional monitoring systems,

Collation, analysis and assessment of monitoring results,

Development of basic principles with regard to the water quality objectives, pollution thresholds and discharge requirements for the Weser and its headwaters,

Supporting the elaboration of river basin management plans,

Coordination of all tasks of implementing the Water Framework Directive and Flood Directive in the Weser river basin district.
